Since the theme is already set, they have something in mind. Cute might not be what they are looking for. If it is a fashion shoot you may need to show off the clothes you are wearing. If it is for another purpose, you may need to think about who you are supposed to be in the images, or what part you play. The photographer or director will tell you what they want. The best thing you can do is listen to direction, get an understanding of the picture they are trying to create and put yourself in to that scene. Imagine yourself being the character you are portraying and your body will follow. Don't be afraid to be something different than you usually are, even if it feels a bit awkward at the time it is often that commitment to playing the character that makes the difference. |
