Why do guys have so much success as amateur boxers and then suck *** when they become professionals?
guys like Audley Harrison, who are so good as amateur but suck as pros.
some guys just don't adapt to the professional game.Audley Harrison had all the tools to be a heavyweight champion. He was big, tall, decent speed for a heavyweight,a south paw and a excellent jab but he never had the heart and just couldn't adapt to professional boxing
What weight should I fight in amateur MMA?
I'm 5'7 and 176 pounds as of right now. I'm currently 22% body fat, but am sure I can lose it while training and running my *** off.
When you lose fat, you should also be aiming to build muscle. And as muscle is heavier than fat (because it is more dense) you won't see as significant a difference in weight as you may be expecting.

You should be looking at Welterweight (170 - 185 lbs). Train for endurance and speed.
Is someone in his mid-20s too old to begin a professional boxing career?
I am kicking so much *** in my amateur league and want to take it to the next level. How much do agents and real trainers cost? And am I too old to begin a professional career in boxing? I will check back after I kick some more *** this evening.
Not if you work at it. I don't know the details of agents and trainers and everything, but you are deffinitley not too old. This guy who just fought Chris Byrd turned pro at 35. Most good boxers turn pro in their early 20's anyways. So, no it's not too late for you
My Boyfriend Wants To Eat A Cookie From My ***... Should I Let Him?
My boyfriend has a strange fantasy: he wants to eat a cookie (and several other things) from my ***. We've been together for a long time, so I don't mind, but is it sanitary? I really, honestly don't mind him doing it. I trust him a lot. I even let him show our amateur movies to his grandfather and dentist.
Girl I wouldnt care if he wanted to eat Starburst out my asss....I wouldnt care....just as long as his face is in my A**.....then im ok :-)
Xbox live game that suits friendly/amateur players?
I don't often play Xbox live (i have a life), but on rainy days i may dabble in it. The problem is, that because i don't play much, i'm only of an average skill. And for example when i play COD i get my **** kicked from freakishly serious gamers and it's just no fun.
Are there any games that an amateur can have a good game/match/race.

Many thanks
Tiger Woods Golf is a game that takes no skill at all really and it fun and easy.
Black Ops takes NO SKILL what so ever bc it is way to easy to get kills in that one.
Some Sports games don't take to much just some time to get used to how things work. Like madden, NCAA, FIFA, they just take some time to see what play works the best and where to shoot the ball into the back of the net.
Lol gears of war online is all about running up to someone and using a shotgun, so it has no tactic just run a die if u like that.
Halo 3 isn't complicated u just need to learn the weapons and learn how to 3 shot someone with the Battle Rifle and you will be fine.
Final Fantasy is good for offline gaming and one of the best franchises. or else they wouldn't make like 20+ of them.
Thats all i got so i hope this helps.
And for the record i play xbox and xbox live for about 4-5 hours a day and i play like 3 sports and im all state in every single one. So i play alot and i have a great life. Maybe im just the lucky ones
Hope this helps
Answer Quickly Please: How to act around someone you hate?
My friend is having a small halloween party (10-12 people) tonight, and unfortunately he's also friends with someone who i hate/hates me. long story, prefer not to get into it. but hes a complete douche and wants to fight (i could kick his ***, im an amateur boxer, he doesn't know that xD) id like to just enjoy the party, so how to i act around him without starting anything?
Try your best not to bump into him. If you happen to run across him, just ignore him, unless he catches your attention. If he does, just say hi, unless he wants something. If so, just act normally, just talk to him politely and normally.
Is it harder to me a top tier mma fighter or a stay at home mom?
Some women think it's harder to be a stay at home mom so I'm just looking for some true insight because I don't wanna be an ***. And by top tier I mean THE TOP TIER UFC, pride (thought bought by ufc), you get the idea. Not casual training or amateur fighting.
The MMA fighter has a much tougher job.
Your basically training constantly, in that you have to sleep properly and eat properly. Some fighters train 16 hours in the gym a day. It's hard to believe, but it's true. Your getting your *** kicked constantly, your always beat up and injured from training. A Top tier MMA fighter, if he's the best of the best and a belt holder (GSP, Lesnar, Silva etc) only has to fight 3 times up the year, but still they generally get hurt so bad that a doctor has to force to spend a certain amount of time just recovering, and by law, they have too. Then comes the fame aspect, tv, radio shows, meet and greet, most fighter travel around the world doing seminars with guys and up-and-comers. UFC fighters, unless your a champ, don't even make that much money, there are UFC fighters that live in my town that drive Civics and rent. I'm an 18 year old guy and i'm even better off then they are right now, and they're in the show.

My mom's a stay at home mom, it's hard but not MMA fighter hard. Even if your a single mother working two jobs trying to feed 3 guyren, then maybe it's harder, but as for a stay at home mom? Nah.
Should I join army reserves for part time?
Hi I'm 18 year old student

I want to leave my parents house they don't want to let me so I can't leave safely with a guarantee of finding some place to live or work.
They are conservative and crazy. I can't visit friends or even use the phone to talk to them. I can't get a girlfriend and can only marry someone after 25. They want me to be a doctor even though I'm not mentally capable and have other careers I would like to do. But they won't accept it. Crazy *** parents make me want to hang myself.
"I saw in my dream you'd be a doctor if you don't become a doctor I'll
kill myself" says my mom.

I'm an amateur boxer so I'm not worried about the physical stress.
I want to work part time I work as a busboy I want to quit that and join reserves. I would like the reserves to be a way to increase my physical ability and to learn new things. and as a way to go through college and make money to live on my own. I just want to know if I'd be drafted to war. I'm from montreal quebec canada btw. I really don't want to be drafted into war. Because I'm not offering my life to my country for 10k a summer. I care about my life more than that. Why would I go through the whole bullshit of university just to get blown up to pieces? So I would like to join with a guarantee of me not getting injured or killed.

What do you think
It truly is an excellent idea to join, you will be amazed at how much you will learn and how much you will grow as a person. You will work one weeknight a week and one weekend per month. Your parents cant do anything about you joining if your 18.

it is a great way to get through university without any concern of being sent to war. In the reserves the only was they can send you ANYWHERE is if you volunteer to go, you can never be forced into it in the reserves. the worst that can happen to you is something minour like falling when your running or something like that. There is no contract that you sign saying you have to stay in for any amount of time so really any time you want to leave you can. also your only required to work about once per month.

Another reason to join is the tremendous amount of public respect you get from almost anybody you meet.

All put together its a great part time job and there is nothing else like it. after a while you will love putting on the uniform and you will take extreme pride in your job and what you represent. I wish you the best of luck.
Am going to the first rehearsal for a show I got a fairly major part in tonight - does anyone have any advice?
I auditioned for a minor part as I am new to it and ended up getting a major one, which is great news I guess - but I am well in over my head here.

I don't know any of the other cast, barely know the Director (who seemed a cool guy) I dont understand anything about professional OR amateur theatre and am really feeling like I dont know where to start.

Anyone got any tips so as not to make an *** of myself from the word go?
Yep. Relax.
I've been a professional actor for 35 years now and I'm here to tell you that, pro or amateur, it's always the same at first rehearsals.
Everyone is nervous, even those people trying not to look nervous. It always feels like the first day at school. The good news is that most people don't know each other, so you'll all be in the same boat. Most first rehearsals consist of just getting to know people and a gentle read-through of the script. This is of a just have a wander through it so we've all heard the whole thing and be sure we're all singing from the same hymn sheet kind of thing to break the ice.
I'm sure in no time you'll be feeling right at home. Acting's a lot of fun. That's why some of us do it for a living, despite any number of difficulties - the unemployment, the poor pay etc.
The fun's the thing.
So I hope you enjoy yourself. All the best with it.
How to get into Amateur Cage Fight?
Hi, I am wondering what guidance I can get on getting into a completely amateur cage fight. I'd like this to be somewhere in the San Diego, CA area.

I had a friend describe to me that people do this quite often, they have no training or experience and have never done a cage fight but somehow get signed up and do an amateur cage fight, against someone of a similar weight and possibly never do another again.

I found a resource online that said it was looking for Amateur fighters for matches and I emailed it with all my info. I got a response and the man asked me some questions. He said I wasn't experienced enough and without training in the cage that I couldn't fight in a cage. Doesn't make much sense to me, seems like that would make me less of an amateur if I had trained in Martial arts.

I honestly don't expect to win and it wouldn't bother me if the guy weighed more than me, if he was less then it would. I just want to try it out to decide if I do want to train in martial arts, and like a lot of men I do think a lot of myself. If I went in there and got my *** beat then I could focus on things that I can succeed at and stop thinking about it so much or getting so damn excited when I watch UFC fights or other MMA.

I'd even take an amateur boxing match if thats all I could do for some reason.

Maybe this would help a little:

Age: 21
Height: 5'10, 70 inches
Weight: 185-190lbs

Thanks.
I know of 2 places that have training and one of them actually has a cage. Both are on El Cajon on Main St. but I do not know what the names are. If you really want, when I pass by them later I will get the names and email them to you. You can send me a message to my email if you want and I will do it for you.
